Person Addresses

Each person or organization record will have a Physical Address and a Mailing Address. This is the sample addresses for Jane Doe.

Mailing address versus Physical address

In our example, Jane's mailing and physical addresses are different. Obviously this means that she has chosen to receive USPS mail at an alternate address such as a PO Box in this example.

With this scenario her mailing address and physical address and not in sync. Be sure to notice that the Sync check box with the mailing address is not checked. This is how Shelter Pro knows to allow the two addresses to differ.

Mailing address synced to Physical address

When the Sync check box is checked the mailing address is kept in sync with the physical address. This is common for persons who receive USPS mail at their home address. If any change is made to the physical address, the mailing address is simultaneously updated so that they are always the same.
