Bite Case Records

Bite Case Records

A bite case record is typically created for each occurrence of animal having an interaction with an individual victim that results in a bite.

Bite case records are sub-records

Bite case records are sub-records that case be attached as follows:

  1. To an animal control incident record;
  2. To a shelter case record;
  3. To both an incident and an attached shelter case.

If an incident record and a shelter case record are attached to each other, and the same animal is connected to both the incident and the shelter case, and there is one or more bite case records for the animal attached to either the incident or case, the same bite case record will be accessible from both the incident view and the case view.

One to one relationship

Each bite record is a 'one to one' occurrence where each bite record involves one animal and one victim. With this in mind, if there is a scenario where a single animal bit multiple victims, there should be multiple bite records created, one for each victim.
