Animal ID - Other IDs/Registrations

The next few topics will cover alternate/other ID records in Shelter Pro. To set a framework for this discussion, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Terminology - Registrations does not equal pet licenses

At times, other IDs may be called a registration. This is not the same as a pet license. In the context of the this module's 'other IDs', a registration would typically equal a 'dangerous dog' registration that some customers track within their Shelter Pro.

Other IDs are customizable

Shelter Pro can be customized to handle any custom 'type' of an alternate identifier for an animal. This is useful to organizations who have a need to administer or identify pets with their own self-prescribed identifier(s).
