License expiration cannot exceed Rabies Expiration

This is used when a pet owner purchases a license. If checked, the license expiration date will be set to the pet's rabies expiration date if the rabies expiration date is less than the full licensing period for the purchased license type. For example, if an owner got their pet vaccinated on 2/1/2022 and then purchased a 1 year license on 2/15/2022, the license expiration date will be set to 1/31/2023, not 2/15/2023.
Proof of (Rabies, Sterilization, Microchip)

These control the eligibilty requirements (or optionality) when a pet owner purchases a pet license.
Certificate required - the pet owner must be able to show proof that their pet meets this requirement to purchase a license online. Typically this is met when the owner has documentation such as a rabies certificate, sterilization certificate, and/or microchip certificate from a registered veterinarian.
Required, accept data elements from owner - the pet owner must enter certain data elements regarding the requirement (for example - date of vaccination, vaccination duration, veterinarian who provided service), but the owner will not be required to provide printed documentation such as a printed certificate. When a purchased license is posted, it will still need to be reviewed and approved by an employee.
Required, approval is automatic - the pet owner must enter certain data elements regarding the requirement (date of vaccination, vaccination duration, veterinarian who provided service), but the owner will not be required to provide documentation such as a printed certificate. When a purchased license is posted, it will be set to 'approved' and will not need to be reviewed by an employee.
Not required, but there is a discount - the pet owner has the option to meet this at their discretion, but it's not a requirement.
Not required or relevant - this 'proof of...' will not be displayed when a pet owner is purchasing a pet license.
