Shelter Pro was developed as a result of personal involvement with a local Humane Society. The facility director requested a search for software to perform records management. The software needed to meet several criteria, including:
- Increasing the usefulness, accuracy, and efficiency of information gathered during regular business operations.
- Great ease of use to support high staff turnover, short windows of training, and being something employees will be happy to use.
- High value to cost – the price must be reasonable while providing important features, including affordable ongoing maintenance and upgrades.
- State-of-the-art look and feel for the organization (quick information input and retrieval, computer printed forms and reports, Windows operating system, etc).
- Power to grow with the needs of the facility
An extensive search for software revealed no product meeting the above criteria. With personal expertise in computer technology, RoseRush Services developed Shelter Pro with guidance from the Humane Society director and a great deal of input from early customers. The software is contemporary (Windows based), modular (only buy what you need!) and affordable.
Today, we sell and service Shelter Pro to customers all over the United States and Canada. We have customers from the very small (300-400 animals per year) to the very large (50,000 complaints and shelter intakes per year). As our customer needs grow, so does Shelter Pro. We strive for a “continuous improvement” product that meets the ever-changing challenges of Animal Services organizations.
