Person Record - Other Items

There are also indicators for persons who interact with your organization's operations. These are found under the second tab titled 'Other items'

These items include

Staff - indicates the person to be an active employee
ACO - indicates the person to be an active Animal Control Officer
Can Euthanize - indicates the person to be authorized to administer euthanasia
Registration Issuer - indicates the outside person/agency to be authorized to sell pet registrations
Veterinarian - indicates the person to be a known veterinarian
Vet Clinic - indicates the agency to be a known veterinary clinic
License Issuer - indicates the outside person/agency to be authorized to sell pet licenses
Rabies/Vaccination Issuer - indicates the outside person/agency to be authorized to vaccinate

What does 'Yes, show on Portal' mean?

For customers who are using Shelter Pro Portal and have the transactional model where pet owners can update pet records, the veterinarian and vet clinic values 'Yes, show on Portal' do the following:

Veterinarian - indicates the person to be a known veterinarian who can be selected when the owner is specifying which vet is associated with a pet. Typically this would be selected when uploading a rabies vaccination certificate to complete a license purchase on the portal. In most cases these would be local vets who provide service to local citizens.
Vet Clinic - indicates the agency to be a known vet clinic who can be selected when the owner is specifying which vet is associated with a pet. Typically this would be selected when uploading a rabies vaccination certificate to complete a license purchase on the portal. In most cases these would be local vets who provide service to local citizens.

For customers who are using Shelter Pro Portal and are using the 'vet import' feature, the License Issuer and Rabies/Vaccination Issuer values 'Yes, show on Portal' do the following:

License Issuer - indicates the outside person/agency to be authorized to establish a 'reseller' portal account. This is different type of portal account in that the reseller will be able to upload a file of pet, owner, rabies vaccination, and license sold data content. The uploaded file would be an export from their internal vet software. Once uploaded, the file data is then imported to your Shelter Pro database and will update persons, animals, licenses, rabies vaccination, and chargebacks to the license issuer to collect license fees from the agency.
Rabies/Vaccination Issuer - indicates the outside person/agency to be authorized to establish a 'vaccination provider' portal account. This is different type of portal account in that the vaccination provider will be able to upload a file of pet, owner, and rabies vaccination data content. The uploaded file would be an export from their internal vet software. Once uploaded, the file data is then imported to your Shelter Pro database and will update persons, animals, and rabies vaccination data.
