Person Record - Animals Owned

The Animals Owned tab shows each animal currently owned by an individual.

The list

Each animal listed will show the species, gender, breed, pet name, and animal identifiers. The sample above shows that Jane Doe owns a Dog, described as a Male Airedale Terrier, who is a purebred and is sterilized. The dog is named Terry, and the dog has three types of identifiers (license, vaccination tag, and a microchip).

Tip - If more detail is required, you can view the underlying event by clicking the View Record button, or double-click the entry.

The 'New Lost' button

This button creates a new lost report for the selected animal. When clicked, the Lost Report View window will be opened so that any additional lost report content can be added.

The 'New Animal' button

The New Animal button will create a new record on the Animal Database, automatically linking the currently selected person as the owner. Note that clicking this button will cause the Animal Database window to show where you will be able to enter the detailed information about the new animal and save the record. When you click Close on the Animal Database, you will return to this window and the newly added animal will show in the list.
