Case View - Intake Examples
The following are intake examples within The Shelter Management Module under Case View Details. While these examples are very common, there is the potential for their to be other options that have been 'customized' in your organization's Shelter Pro.
Stray animal picked up by Animal Control

In this example, a STRAY animal was picked up by the ACO, Sheila Bennet. Intake date, Precinct, and all other fields are filled in accordingly. Also notice the Owner at Intake (if known) is Jane Doe.
Stray animal turned in by citizen

In this instance, a STRAY animal was found and turned in by a citizen. Notice the sample citizen name in this example is Sally Jones, found under "Delivered Animal".
Found animal being held by citizen

In this case, a FOUND animal was reported, and is now currently being held at the citizen's home until the owner is found. Note the 'Being held by' person is Andrew Miller.
IMPORTANT
The two intake reason values of STRAY and FOUND are commonly differentiated so that Shelter Pro statistical reporting can accurately report how many STRAY animals the facility took in verses how many FOUND animals were reported, but were never physically in the facility.
Owner Turn-In (aka Surrendered pet)

In this example, the owner, Jane Doe, turned in the pet because it was no longer wanted. All other fields are completed accordingly.
Shelter Pro Portal's Lost/Found page
The two intake reason values of STRAY and FOUND will cause the pet to be shown on the 'Lost/Found' page of Shelter Pro Portal.
